The E490 is ATEX and IECEx certified for an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to 158°F) for the aluminum housing. Ambient temperature stainless steel housing: -40°C to +67°C (-40°F to 153°F).

Robust indicator for a wide range of applications
The E490 is a versatile, loop-driven multifunction indicator to display actual process value, range and loop current. In addition to focusing on level, temperature and pressure applications, the E490 can also work with other measurement units, such as %, mA, RPM and even the ability to create a measurement unit with up to 8 characters.
The input circuit is separated from the backlight circuit and has an ultra-low voltage drop < 1.5 V DC, allowing easy installation in virtually any 2-wire, 4-20 mA loop. The unit of measure to be displayed is simply selected via an alphanumeric configuration menu. The E490 accepts 4 - 20 mA input signals from a wide range of process instruments, including flow (linear or square root), level, pressure and temperature transmitters. This makes it the perfect solution for virtually any explosion-proof application where you want to display an analog process value.
