Vögtlin's product range includes thermal mass flow meters and mass flow controllers for gases and the first integrated long-life battery mass flow meter with built-in touch screen. These high-precision flow meters feature digital and analog interface, IP67/NEMA6 protection and ATEX certification.
In short, the Vögtlin range offers state-of-the-art solutions for precise gas measurement and control, with reliability, durability and functionality at its core.
There are different types of gas flow meters, and each type has its own operating principles. Here are some common types of gas flowmeters:
Difference Pressure Flowmeters: Orifice Plate Flowmeters: They use a plate with a hole (orifice) in the pipe to create a pressure drop, and the flow rate is determined by measuring the pressure differential across the orifice. Venturi Flowmeters: Similar to orifice plates, but they use a constricted pipe section (Venturi tube) to create a pressure drop.
Variable Surface Flow Meters: Rotameters: consist of a stepped tube and a float. As the flow rate increases, the float rises and the position of the float indicates the flow rate.
Mass Flow Meters: Thermal Mass Flow Meters: Measure the mass flow rate of gases by using the cooling effect of a gas on a heated element. Coriolis Mass Flow Meters: Measure the mass flow rate by detecting the Coriolis force caused by the acceleration of the fluid.
Ultrasonic Flowmeters: use ultrasonic waves to measure the velocity of gas flow.
Turbine Flowmeters: Have a rotor with blades placed in the gas stream. The rotational speed of the rotor is proportional to the flow rate.
Vortex Shedding Flowmeters: Measure the frequency of vortices created by an obstacle in the flow.
